Visit my new board, Forgotten forum

Created new blog, for Hidden Shadows. URL is: http://hiddenshadows.wordpress.com
Please view =) Thanks.

New story, more inspiration. =) I’ve stopped writing Hidden Shadows at the moment. Have a bit of a block on that one, but I’ve got Unexpected Friendship to keep me busy, as well as updating and maintaining my sites.

http://freewebs.com/wolfenheart is getting a new look, to clear off that  ugly layout I had before that no one was blunt enough to tell me how terrible it was.

htpp://freewebs.com/sky-fyre needs some inspiration … perhaps changing it completely to a member-type site.

Forbidden Fire Update

December 15, 2008 at 7:45 pm (Daily) ()

I apologize for having not updated my blog very often. Then again, I don’t think there’s anyone who’d check regularily enough to see this post ….

Haven’t been doing much on Forbidden. Don’t worry, it’ll be up sometime. Though most likely won’t be until after Christmas or later. Takes a lot more planning than I expected. Then again, I do have a lot to learn, more than I thought I would need to. After all, I already have a site, but it’s actually none to pretty. Simple layout and I know all the content already since it’s about me. Maybe I should get rid of that extra site of mine ….

Forbbiden Fire

December 8, 2008 at 7:10 pm (Uncategorized) ()

I have decided to make a new member’s site called Forbidden Fire, for art and literature. Forgotten, the forum, will be a large part of it, I think, especially if some of the things I have been thinking about trying doesn’t work. It probably won’t, sadly. Now I’m only wondering which free web hosting site I should use …. I don’t know if Freewebs will do the trick. Sadly, I will probably have to use a template version, if it is Freewebs, as I just can’t figure out how to use the members thing with the html version of Freewebs. A pity. I would far rather make my own layouts. But I guess I can’t have everything. :| Also sad, I cannot pay for anything, so everything has to be free. No domain name (except either .tk or .co.nr), no server, no unlimited whatever.

Unexpected Friendship Chapter 2

December 7, 2008 at 4:46 pm (Uncategorized) ()

“Is it too dark?” Zach asked Alexa. “I’m afraid I tend to prefer it this way.”

“A little bit of light would be better,” Alexa admitted, going up the stairs with a hand brushing the wall.

The vampire drew a jar out from somewhere in the depths of his cloak and unscrewed it. He reached in and pulled something out. “Here,” he said, handing her some tiny objects. She held them in her hand. “They’re fireflies,” Zach informed her. “You can take care of them and they will give you light in return whenever you ask it of them.”

“Thank you,” Alexa said.

Zach did not reply, instead screwing the lid back onto the jar, then returning it into his cloak. He was following Alexa so close that the girl could feel his cool breath on her neck. She nervously coaxed some light from the fireflies before hurrying up the stairs again.

They reached a landing, where Alexa was about to pause, but Zach urged her on. They passed more landings but the vampire would not stop. Alexa finally emerged from a hole in the fork of two great branches, exiting the trunk. Zach then took the lead, showing Alexa to a shelter wedged between a few branches. “This is my guest room,” he said. “Not that I have many guests, of course,” he added, almost sadly. “You can stay here for the time.”

Alexa stood still for a moment, shocked. “I’m, I’m not going home tonight?” she finally managed to say.

Zach shifted uncomfortably. “Well … I don’t think you’ll be welcomed back, after, you know, after I took you.”

“So I can’t ever go home?” Alexa whispered, despair showing over her face.

Zach shook his head.

Unexpected Friendship Chapter 1

December 7, 2008 at 4:37 pm (Arts) (, , , , , )

Alexa was doing her homework at the table, her best friend Nathalie on the computer in the room across the hall. Alexa, thirsty, got up to get a glass of water when the light flickered, then went out. A piercing scream split the air, which could only have been Nathalie. There was a sound of cracking glass, then tinkling, and whoosh, flap, and snap of a cloak. Something landed with a soft thud behind Alexa. Cold steel touched her throat light as a feather.
“Be silent,” a voice breathed beside Alexa’s ear.

She nodded slightly to show she understood. She was afraid, not only for herself, but for her friend, Nathalie, in the other room. The one who held her captive was a vampire, there was no doubt of that. She feared vampires, the cold, blood-sucking monster she had heard about in the horror stories that were well known everywhere. The light of anything bright blinds their night-eyes. THeir wings are bat-like and vast, their touch, cold. They feared nothing but silver.
Suddenly, the vampire wrapped a strong arm around her and flicked it’s wings. They soared up and out the broken window that it had entered through. Over the skyscrapers and apartments, over houses and parks they flew. The moon was bright and the stars glittered overhead. Alexa caught a glimpse of the moon, and she unconciously transformed into her werewolf form, filled with an urge to howl.

The vampire felt her transformation and leaned down to her ear, murmuring a quiet, “Shhh …” The werewolf girl calmed and slowly pushed the urge away. She did not, however, transform back into a human as she would be stronger as a werewolf if she needed to fight this vampire.

They flew for a long time, far away from the city that Alexa lived in. Finally gathering enough courage, Alexa spoke. “What do you want with me?” she asked the vampire, doing her best to hide her fear from her voice.

It looked at her in surprise. “What do I want with you?” it repeated slowly. “Well, I suppose I did originally want to drink your blood … but now I’m not sure.” It’s face took on a puzzled look.

Now that Alexa had a clear view of it’s face, it looked male. “Are you a guy? And what’s your name anyways?” she asked, slowly losing her fear. She supposed that she was not about to become a vampire’s meal anymore. She relaxed in it’s grip, twisting her head around to look at it.

“Why would you want to know that?” it asked in return, even more puzzled. “I’m a guy. My name is Zach.”

“I dunno. Why wouldn’t I?” Alexa replied. Looking at Zach, she saw that he had fangs, which were not very noticable at all. His hair was long and silvery, eyes a deep crimson. His face was angular and his eyebrows were darker than his hair.

Her thoughts were interrupted when Zach landed in a forest, beside an ancient, massive tree. He released her from his grip. She stretched her stiff limbs, asking, “So what are you going to do with me now?”

“Invite you to my home,” Zach decided. “Would you like to come over?” he asked, smiling.

“Alright,” Alexa accepted hesitantly. “You promise I’m not going to be your meal?”

“I promise,” he promised. “Come.” He circled the tree, then pulled on an inconspicious knot on the trunk, opening a hidden door. Inside was a winding staircase going up into darkness. “Ladies first,” Zach said, grinning, fangs revealed.

Alexa nervously climbed the stairs, Zach following close behind. The door shut silently, plunging them into the dark.

Their Time Has Passed

December 4, 2008 at 10:25 pm (Uncategorized) ()

A line of people walked, hand in hand, heads raised. At one time, they had been a proud, flourishing people. Their time had passed, and they walked with dignity away from the new world, of which they would not be part of. Their duty was to save the old world and create a new world for a new people. Now was the end. The end of one era, and the beginning of a new, entirely different one, one where there would be no tyrant dictators, no emperors, to rule and conquer, and destroy the world.

The saviours, the once proud people, were not all adults. There were children, and elders. A vast number of them lined the horizon, silhouettes against the setting sun. All were linked, all walked towards their destined future, far away from the world they had spent their lives working on. Each one had had a part in it, and each would pass away with the setting sun.

Elastics

December 4, 2008 at 4:48 pm (Daily) (, , , , )

I got elastics for my braces on Monday, and they hurt if I bite down. And guess what? This morning I forgot to put them on. I had taken them off to eat breakfast. After, before I left for school, I read. A little too long. I had to rush to school, as it was getting late. Of course, I was in such a hurry I didn’t realize that I was not wearing my elastics, nor that I actually needed them. It wasn’t until I was nearly at school that I remembered, and I was like, oops.

What Does the Vampire Want With Me?
